WHERE TO EAT IN DALLAS || MCDONALD'S LAUNCHES SELF-ORDERING KIOSKS
July 27, 2018
Thank you to McDonald's for sponsoring this post, all thoughts and opinions are my own.Ā
Ā
McDonald's is easily my favorite fast food restaurant. Much like the rest of America, I'veĀ been going there since I was a kid. I even remember having my birthday party at McD's, I think I was turning 4 and all I wanted to do was sprawl in the ball pit! McDonald's makes me nostalgic, it was my go-to visit in college and still today it's my favorite spot for a quick breakfast on the way to work - hello egg white delight and coffee.Ā
Ā
Here in the Dallas area, McDonald's restaurants have taken strides to make the already convenient restaurant, even more convenient! I'm sure you've seen all of the double lanes, making ordering much faster - but many of the area McDonald's even now offer guests self-ordering kiosks.Ā

Ā
I went to one close to our house in Oak Cliff off Illinois a couple of weeks ago to try out the ordering myself. Everything was grouped in a way that made ordering super quick and easy. Shy introverts unite, we no longer have to interact with anyone!! šššššš
Ā
My husband and I ordered the fresh beef deluxeĀ quarter pounder and the fresh beef quarter pounder with bacon, and of course lots of delicious fries. Is there anything better than McDonald's fries??? No, no there is not.Ā
Ā

Ā
Their fresh beef quarter pounders are a new menu item here in DFW. TheyĀ are cooked right when you order and made with 100% fresh beef from North America. They're hotter, juicier and full of flavor. My personal favorite is the deluxe quarter pounder, it tastes as good as any gourmet burger you'd find at a fancy burger joint!Ā

You'reĀ going to laugh at me because it was kind of romantic having dinner at McDonald's with my husband. Before you eye roll, hear me out!Ā We had a booth in the back. The kid's area was in the front and completely separateĀ with glass doors. We couldn't hear a peep from the ball pit. (After I took photos for this post...) we didn't have our phones out, we just sat and chatted about life over fries and coke. It was super cute and made me feel like a teenager again, hanging with my boyfriend and a couple of medium fries until our parentsĀ came to pick us up.Ā
Ā
Ok ok ok ok, I'm a nostalgic nerd. But it WAS CUTE!Ā
Ā
There was also an old man withĀ his own coffee cup who was sitting in a booth toward the front. He seemed so incredibly happy just hanging, people watching at McDonalds. It made me both very sad thinking about why he was alone in a booth at McDonalds, but also very happy that he has that special time for himself at Mcdonalds. I imagine that he probably lives alone and comes to that location daily, and it's his source of entertainment. Old school people watching, the best things in life still really are free!Ā Ā
Ā
I smiled at him as we left and made a mental note to go back to that same McDonald's at the same time next week and go wave to him, and buy him a cup of coffee.Ā
